My Egyptian Holiday
After we had decided to go on holiday to Egypt, we discussed whether we should go to somewhere other than our usual hotel. We always loved the safety of going somewhere we knew was good but we were thinking it was about time to branch out and take a few risks. We had looked at the Concorde El Salam a few times and decided against it in favour of playing it safe, but this time we thought that we’d give it a go. It was a tiny bit more expensive than our regular hotel but for the extra beauty in the scenery, it was worth it. There were some great photo opportunities to be had there. Since I enjoyed photography so much, it seemed like the perfect place to go. In fact, my partner had recently bought me a camera that was able to be submerged to I could take photos of the fish and other creatures that lived under the water. We were a little concerned that the place might not look as good in the flesh as it did in the photos but when we arrived, it was clear that we were wrong. By the time we got there, it was the late evening, so the lights were all on at the resort making for a lovely sight. We couldn’t wait to see it in daylight the next day. Since we had arrived so late, we decided to have an early night and wake up refreshed in the morning ready to soak up the sun and relax in this idyllic place. It was just as picturesque in the daylight and clearly the staff all worked very hard to keep the grass so perfectly green. It looked better than mine did at home, somehow! Since we had gone for an all inclusive holiday, we didn’t have to worry about money for an entire week which would be a great weigh off our minds. We could order whatever we wanted and as much of it as we could stomach. I’m not sure we could take a holiday that wasn’t all inclusive after getting sued to the inevitable gluttony that ensued on our trips away!
